Providing freelance BSL/English interpreting services across a range of settings, including:

Lead Communication Support Worker (Communication Support Coordinator) | September 2006 – Present

• Provide Communication Support to Deaf students using British Sign Language (BSL) and Sign Supported English across academic and vocational settings

• Act as Lead CSW, coordinating and timetabling communication support to ensure appropriate provision

• Liaise with agencies to source, book and support freelance CSWs and interpreters

• Serve as a key point of contact between students, tutors, support staff and external professionals

• Advise on appropriate communication strategies based on individual student needs

• Support students in exams, assessments, reviews, interviews and off-site activities

• Prepare subject-specific terminology and adapt learning materials to maximise accessibility

• Promote student independence and effective peer communication

• Provide Deaf awareness guidance to teaching and support staff
